My one minute short film is called followed i have based it on a current film with a similar plot called Trust.
it is based on:
A suburban family is torn apart when fourteen-year-old Annie (Liana Liberato) meets her first boyfriend online. After months of communicating via online chat and phone, Annie discovers her friend (Chris Henry Coffey) is not who he originally claimed to be. Shocked into disbelief, her parents (Clive Owen and Catherine Keener) are shattered by their daughter's actions and struggle to support her as she comes to terms with what has happened to her once innocent life.

Jose discussed how the genre of horror is beginning to die due to the frequent overused technique called a jump-scare. although he mentions that the film is still scary. between there are similar comments but they mention that the jump-scare had made this segment in the film.
Also my target audience is based upon the age of 18 and over due to the fact that short films should be technical and should make you think.

Jump scares ruin a LOT of potentially good horror scenes. This is part of the reason why horror in general is dead. 

I'll be perfectly honest. Heart was racing throughout but when the jump 'jump scare' happened I was disappointed. 

Then a user Yarwhal mentioned a mistake or questioning if this would purposely be here.

I just realized that the jump scare shows the monster jumping towards us, which might be a shocking moment for some of us. However, when you think about it, doesn't that mean that from the woman's point of view, he (it?) just sort of derp jumped out of the bed away from her screaming?

Due to people mentioning about the use of jump-scares in thrillers and horrors i will try to avoid this style of editing for the purpose of not copying or using mainstream techniques as much. after this i had gone through their profiles and i found out that the audience that watched the short films on youtube we 18-30 years old. so i have considered my audience. if my audience was any younger they wouldn't understand the content i put out.

when regulating my film i will have to consider the content so fro example my short film will contain blood and violence but i need to rate it suitably due to the fact that it doesn't contain imitable behavior because my film can cause real life issues for people. I would not get my film regulated by the BBFC due to the fact that, my production is being placed on an online site such as YouTube so regulation would be pointless. BBFC regulations are put in place to recognize the strenght of the content for example there can be strong or mopderate violence so the strenght of the content can reflect upon the movies rating from the BBFC.
